This term alone, we have delivered assemblies in OPEN Academy, lunch clubs in Sewell Park Academy and Framingham Earl High, supported RE Revision in Sprowston High, got involved with Aylsham High’s ‘Festival of Faith’, supported Oak Grove Community Church with a teaching day in Catton Grove Primary and delivered lessons at Hellesdon High School! In one school we even met someone who decided he wanted to become a Christian despite no prior Christian background! On his request, we have continued to meet up and recently presented him with his first bible.
Gemma, our partnership youthworker based at Meadow Way Chapel, has been running a weekly Christian Union for students at Hellesdon High School. In this group they chat, play games, have a short discussion on a faith-based topic and review a delicious selection of donuts! Recently we’ve received cards and biscuits of support from parents, a rarity, as it’s usually us buying the food! We’ve also been invited to contribute to the prayer and reading in the school Christmas carol concert and have received lots of enthusiasm from teachers about us teaching lessons, leading prayer spaces and more!
