We are recruiting!

Are you passionate about God and young people?

Would you love to make a difference to students at risk of exclusion?

Could you develop and lead a brand new alternative education project?

Norwich Youth for Christ have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead Boost; an alternative education project to try and help tackle the high exclusion rates in Norwich.

The right candidate will have the skills, passion, patience and perseverance for working with disengaged young people at risk of exclusion. You will relish the chance to develop and lead this project as we establish ourselves as excellent providers of alternative education in Norwich.

You will need good experiences of establishing relationships and working with this client group in an educational setting and a deep empathy for their background whilst being able to maintain strong boundaries.

You will be primarily responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of Boost, involving other team members and volunteers where appropriate, linking in with our Mobile Recording Studio (Tracks) and bringing your own gifts and talents into the project.  An understanding of the Maths and English curriculum would be advantageous. You will have excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings, be able to develop effective relationships with schools and work well as part of a team.

You will be joining our forward-thinking team of youth workers who are dedicated to providing young people with opportunities to be the good news of Jesus in exciting, innovative ways.

As an employee of Norwich Youth for Christ, you will benefit from a supportive team environment, ongoing training and experienced youth work management.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the postholder is a Christian and can work with the Evangelical Alliance’s Statement of Faith. An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.
